to UU.

Farewell.
Rev. Margo McKenna Brower's last service at Chalice
UU Congregation will be on Sunday,
June 27. The outdoor service at 9:30 a.m. will be followed
by a reception beginning at 11. The reception includes a
potluck lunch, music and dance, slide show of the almost
10 years of ministry she and Chalice have shared, and time
to visit. Rev. McKenna Brower will remain on call until the
Interim Minister (see below) is in place. After retirement
from ministry, she will be working with a senior retirement
management company that adheres to a Buddhist-based philosophy.
It provides full retirement planning, as well as senior financial
planning.
Chalice
Chooses. Rev. Thomas Anastasi of Seattle will become
the Interim Minister at Chalice starting in August. He recently
retired as Senior Minister at Shoreline UU Church in Seattle
after 20 years. A profile of Rev. Anastasi will appear in
next week's newsletter. Immigration.
An open house is scheduled tomorrow (June 10)
from 1 to 5 p.m. at Palomar UU Fellowship to celebrate
the opening of UURISE's new staff office. Dan Stracka, former president
of PUUF, is founder and president of UU Refugee and Immigrant Services and Education.
