"Right now I plan to stay in the area for another year, and will be exploring various ministerial opportunities while I work on a couple of books I've been writing," she said. Social Action. The San Diego Cluster's Social Action Committee expects to come up with at least two social justice projects that congregations can participate in during 2010-2011. As part of the process, the Steering Committee is sending out guidelines to Social Action Committees at each congregations and expets to start receiving proposals back in July. The Social Action Committee, chaired by Irv Himelblau of UU Fellowship of San Dieguito, grew out of a Social Action Weekend earlier this year that was highlighted by a demonstration in front of the Federal Building in downtown San Diego. Among the criteria for the Cluster-wide Social Action projects: Multi-generational participation and the timeliness of projects as they relate to the needs of our community and the world.
