The
African proverb "It takes a whole village to raise
a child"
summarizes our pre vailing attitudes about religious education.
We teach children, from toddlers to high schoolers, to esteem
themselves and others, to value the beliefs and practices of the
world's religions—including Unitarian and Universalist
heritage—and to become socially responsible citizens who
participate in
projects that build upon awareness of the needs of others.
We
also offer a rich variety of adult programs to foster the spiritual
and personal growth and learning of all members of our congregations.
Through religious education, we offer youth and adults not a narrow
doctrine but a foundation that will help them make wise decisions
about their own beliefs and values. We also provide a safe and nurturing
place to exercise those beliefs.
"Example isn't another way to teach;
it is the only way to teach."
—Albert Einstein

God
is all different colors.
|
God
is in your heart.

|
For
me, God is a
five-year-old little girl.
For my cat, God is a cat.

God
is breath.

God
is the
curiosity inside you.
|
I
do not believe in God.
I can think what I want.
I don't
believe
in
the devil either.

|
I
don't pretend to know
things that no one
could ever know.
|
God
is a big woman
who loves us all.
|
|
He
is a she and a he.
|
He
never lies, he has
intelligence and most
of all, he loves
me.
|
God
is the biggest
camera ever made. |
There
is no Easter Bunny,
there is no Santa Claus,
there is
no Tooth Fairy
and there is no Jesus. |
|
I
don't believe in
Zeus and
I don't
believe in God.
|
God
can grant love
but not a million dollars. |
